Plan your Treasury Career using the Treasurer Test

For a long time for most people, their career is something that more or less “happens”. Did you make a very thorough analysis choosing your university’s specialism? Was your first job the one you could get fastest? And how did you end up in treasury? This is kind of strange, given that a job, next to relation, children and house are life-defining decisions.

We see an increasing number of people managing their careers strategically. They think about what is important for them in their lives and about the consequences of their work. For example, work-life balance and where one works becomes more prominent. As does the industry of the employer: working for an NGO or in renewable energy is more appealing now than in the past.

Next to what drives someone, cognitive qualities (“skills”) and personality type are part of making strategic career choices. Not only candidates but of course our clients, and employers, value insight into these, when recruiting a candidate. Next to other recruitment methods, we use the Treasurer Test. Our clients pay for the deployment of the Test.

The market approach of Treasurer Search is to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with candidates and clients. As we are involved in career planning meetings with candidates, when the obvious opportunity is not available yet, we sometimes offer the Treasurer Test to candidates who are obviously in our target audience. Not to all because we have to pay a license fee and it would become too costly.

For our business build-up in Germany, we decided to free up an extra Treasurer Test budget for German treasurers who want to benchmark themselves against the international treasury population.
